Lockheed Martin has worked with researchers through MIPS to increase stability of photochromic compounds, improve the quality assessment of shape memory alloys, and study coupled cavity lasers.

United Therapeutics

Through MIPS, United Therapeutics worked with UMD CMNS Professor Brenda  Fredericksen to test the efficacy of the company's broad-spectrum antiviral drug against West Nile virus.
