MIPS Project Challenge:
Lockheed sought help from MIPS-supported researchers to gain a better understanding of the operation of coupled cavity lasers.
Project Scope:
The university team designed and developed a coupled cavity diode laser, which led to an improved understanding of this type of laser.
Lockheed and MIPS have collaborated on a total of eleven projects. Lockheed and Martin Marietta merged in 1995.
